PulsePOS covers the selling side of a business from end to end: ringing up a sale at the counter, raising an order or a quote, and printing the invoice. Purchases, payments and stock stay in step behind it.

Five ways to record a sale

Every sale goes through the same flow, and its status decides what happens next:

• Final sale completes the sale, deducts stock and records the payment.
• Sales order records what the customer wants without deducting stock or taking a payment.
• Quotation gives the customer a priced quote, with no payment needed.
• Proforma invoice is a preliminary bill of sale, issued ahead of the final invoice.
• Draft saves a cart in progress. Suspend it with a note and come back to it later.

Sales rung up at the counter and direct sales entered from the back office share the same flow.

Payments the way customers pay

Take a single payment or split it across cash, card, cheque, bank transfer and your own custom payment methods. PulsePOS records the change returned to the customer, and supports credit sales when a customer will pay later.

Discounts, tax and line detail

Discounts apply to individual items and to the whole invoice, as a fixed amount or a percentage. A tax group applies to the invoice, tax is calculated on each line, and each line can carry its own note.

Built for more than one counter

Every sale is recorded against a business location. Products can have variations, and stock tracking is switched on or off per product.

Purchases and invoices

Purchases are recorded along with their payments. Invoices print in a clean, classic layout with quantities, unit prices, subtotals and totals. The back office is moving to a modern React interface, page by page.
